Harrisburg, PA − October 22, 2024 —Today, Senator Christine M. Tartaglione announced that the Commonwealth Financing Authority is awarding more than $6,157,594 in state grants to eight projects that support the public interest across the 2nd Senate District.
The grant dollars are made available through the Local Share Account, which allocates gaming revenue to support projects in the public interest within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the Public School Facilities Improvement Program, which provides grants to public school districts and area career and technical schools for eligible facility improvement projects.
“In Harrisburg, my legacy is banging the drum to help bring Commonwealth resources to support projects that directly impact and benefit the constituents and city I am honored to serve,” said Senator Tartaglione. “Between the Local Share Account and the Public School Facilities Improvement Program, millions of direly needed dollars are being directed into communities that often experience the worst of the underfunding and lack of investment that has happened across Pennsylvania.
