Senate Passes Lifesaving, Bipartisan Breast Cancer Imaging Legislation

HARRISBURG – Junio 24, 2025 − With broad bipartisan support, the Senate today approved legislation to strengthen Pennsylvania’s no-cost breast cancer screening law by ensuring diagnostic imaging is fully covered, removing financial barriers for patients. Sponsored by Sen. Frank Farry (R-6) and Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward (R-39), Senate Bill 88 builds on the success of Act 1 of 2023, which provided no-cost preventive screenings for those at high risk.

Tartaglione Applauds New Overtime Regulations Granting 200,000 PA Workers Additional Protection

Philadelphia, PA – Octubre 7, 2020 – State Senator Christine Tartaglione applauded new overtime rules published in The Pennsylvania Bulletin on Octubre 3 that require all Pennsylvania employers to pay time-and-a-half wages to employees who earn less than $45,500 a year and who log more than 40 hours in a workweek. The new base earnings threshold provides an additional 200,000 Pennsylvania workers with coverage under the state’s overtime pay requirements, regardless of their job titles.
